Wild Cherry Bed-revisited

It has been over a year since the wild cherry tree came down.What was once a cool shady spot on the south side of the yard is now exposed to full sun most of the day.

Last fall I scrounged the garden centers for some late season bargains to fill the area temporarily until I could come up with a long range plan for the area.

Three agastache plants ( a buck each) have formed a five foot tall clump that is covered with bees and butterflies most of the day.HPIM1420

Daylilies in maroon and yellow and pastel shaded yarrow were late season sell-offs (two bucks each)

Add a butterfly bush ( five dollars) and some self-sown cleome (free)
